NH Votes 2008: U.S. Senate Race
The U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire is one of the most closely watched races in the country. It's a rematch between Republican incumbent John Sununu and Democratic challenger Jeanne Shaheen. They first ran against each other in 2002. Sununu won that election but it was a tight race and it's another tough contest this time around. It has been an all-out battle between the two candidates with negative ads and attacks from both sides. At 43-years-old Sununu is the youngest member of the U.S. Senate. In 1996, Shaheen became the first woman elected governor in New Hampshire. Both candidates speak with NH Outlook's Richard Ager.
