Organization Day
NH Outlook's Richard Ager attends Organization Day for the legislature and brings us highlights. Organization Day is like the first day of school -- you see a lot of familiar faces, a lot of new faces and some returning after winning their seats back.
In spite of a tough election, Republicans gained seats in both the state Senate and House. Still, the Democrats maintain firm control of both chambers as well as the corner office. The Senate also has the distinction of being the first American legislative chamber with more women members than men (13 - 11).
Legislative Look-Ahead
One of the biggest challenges facing lawmakers this year is the projected $95 million dollar revenue shortfall amid the backdrop of a slowing national economy.
NH Outlook's Richard Ager recently sat down with House and Senate leaders at the NH Political Library in Concord to get their take on the upcoming session.
