During these difficult economic times, people resort to the age-old practice of bartering services to get by. Kristin Carlson reports from Vermont on Time Banks, an organized program allowing people to trade services -- all free of costs.
Mortgage Deferment
With job loss comes the possibility of home foreclosure. Jennifer Rooks tells the story of one Charter Bank in Maine that created a mortgage deferment program designed to help people stay in their homes.
SCORE
Small businesses can be described as the backbone of northern New England's economy. Phil Vaughn tells the story of SCORE, a national organization of retired and active business owners who volunteer as mentors to help other small business owners succeed.
