It is the largest deposit of oil in the world, and it’s located right next door – but few know much about the Alberta Tar Sands and what they mean for our energy future. Outlook's Richard Ager sat down with Satya Das, who is the author of the new book “Green Oil: Clean Energy for the 21st Century?”. They talked about the the future of the tar sands, the promise they hold, and the environmental challenge they pose.
Also Outlook's Phil Vaughn recently spoke with Jigar Shah, founder and former owner of SunEdison,a solar power company based in Maryland. The business employs more than 500 people. As you will hear, Mr. Shah believes that "green" is not only good for the planet, it's essential for the growth of the economy.
