Exeter Faces Defending Champion Nashua South

GRANITE STATE CHALLENGE QUARTERFINALS

(DURHAM, April 16, 2018) – Tune in to NHPBS Saturday, ­­­­April 21 at 6 pm as Exeter High School takes on defending champions Nashua South High School in the last game in the Granite State Challenge quarterfinals. The winning team will move on to the semifinals where they will meet Plymouth Regional High School.

Playing for the Exeter Blue Hawks are captain Weston Su, Jack Pindell, Sophia Rubens, and Owen Barry, as well as alternate Matthew McCutchen. The Blue Hawks are coached by Aaron Blais. The Nashua South Purple Panthers are represented by captain Ankita Devasia, Ben Telerski, Waithira Kiritu, and George Eid, with alternates Sathvika Korandla and Hailey Sweeney. The Purple Panthers are coached Greg Montine.

Hosted by Jim Jeannotte, Granite State Challenge features New Hampshire's top high school academic quiz teams as they demonstrate remarkable teamwork, quick thinking and smarts to beat the clock and buzz in first on this iconic New Hampshire game show. The game emphasizes quick recall of math, science, social studies, language arts, and fine arts facts—along with questions about current events, entertainment, sports, and New Hampshire.
