NHPTV’S Channel 11 Antenna Replacement Underway |
Viewers May Experience Temporary Interruptions in Service During Changeover
|
(Durham, August 5, 2009) — New Hampshire Public Television’s Channel 11 antenna replacement at Saddleback Mountain in Deerfield, NH, is underway. Some of our viewers are experiencing service outages due to the lack of signal from the antenna. Uncertain weather conditions (thunder and lightning storms are forecast) are slowing the installation of the new antenna. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to restore service as soon as possible to our viewers.
The new antenna will allow NHPTV to increase power, improving reception and extending NHPTV’s signal to many viewers who have had difficulty watching NHPTV over the air since the digital transition.
New Hampshire Public Television completed its conversion to digital in February and has been transmitting digitally on channels 11 (WENH-Durham), 48 (WLED-Littleton), and 49 (WEKW-Keene) and 50 (Hanover).
For questions reception of NHPTV’s signal or channels, go to www.nhptv.org or call (603) 868-1100.
