Cog Railway

Join host Willem Lange for a ride on the historic Mt. Washington Cog Railway. This "cog" train takes passengers on a three mile adventure straight up to the top of Mt. Washington - 6288  feet above sea level.  When the idea for the train was first conceived in the 1850's, the NH State legislature jokingly referred to it as "The Railway to the Moon". It took one hundred men three years to build the Cog Railway which was completed in 1869. Now, 137 years later, this steam powered train continues to delight tourists from all over the world. Join Willem Lange for a wild ride on the Mt. Washington Cog Railway next time on Windows to the Wild.
