Join Windows to the Wild host Willem Lange as he unpacks his gear for a couple nights stay at Little Lyford Pond Wilderness Camp. The camp is set within the historic 37,000 acre Katahdin Iron Works property, which is only a two-mile hike to the Appalachian Trail and the spectacular Gulf Hagas in New England’s north country. Enjoy the adventure as Willem explores this unique camp, which was built around 1874 and operated as a logging camp then later transitioned into a sporting camp in the 1920’s. Today the camp is owned by the Appalachian Mountain Club and is hidden in the backcountry way up in northern Maine not far from Greenville.
