After hours of chomping stalagmites and stalactites with the sword searching for the next weapon, they found the magic knife. Eli was about to touch it when a rattlesnake bit him. They made a campfire and spent the night in the cave. They survived by eating candy bars they had in their bookbags. In the morning, Eli was all better and they set off to find the monster.
