A Flash of Indigo
A flash of Indigo,
It twitters softly,
another flash, this time brown,
it hops from branch to branch.
Leaves rustle near by.
A small bunting sits in a field.
Suddenly, the sound of a pouncing bobcat
and the field and tree erupt with
blues and browns,
reds and yellows,
oranges and black!
Every color of a feathered flock.
