Shaking the President's Hand

The Town Hall was mobbed. My mom whispered, "I think there's an important speaker tonight." I smiled. Everyone sat down, and we went through the boring stuff. Then the president arrived. Everyone stood. He asked, "I was wondering if a boy named David Acorn is here?" I cam forward and shook the president's hand. This time I showed Mom and Dad my smile.
