Soon the day came to go get the kids. Dad said they lived in the next town. Dad took Maddie and I to pick them up. When we got there, we jumped out of the car, and looked around for the kids. We couldn't see them. The people giving us the kids came outside. The man said, "This is the day you've been waiting for, I'll go get the kids now."
