The animals decided to stay. They waited 12 hours and finally the light went back on. They flew home. When they got there King Wam II demanded an explanation of why they had 12 hours of daylight. So they told him the whole story and he thought it was brilliant. As an award he knighted all of them.
Now that is why we have twelve hours of daylight and twelve hours of darkness. That is also how we got day and night.
