Once there was a kind young frog named Kevin. Kevin was always looking for an adventure. He loved learning new things! On one glorious spring day, Kevin left his lily pad to go on a learning adventure. On the way, Kevin saw his little friend Amanda, the ladybug.
“Hi,” said Kevin.
“Hello there Kevin,” Amanda replied.
“Amanda…you have small black spots on your wings,” Kevin said, confused.
“Oh! Yes, those are spots. You see on both sides, the spots are in the same place,” answered Amanda. “My spots make it look like I have lots of eyes so if someone tries to eat me they will get scared of me.”
“Thanks for teaching me, Amanda. That was fun,” Kevin said.
“You are quite welcome. I had fun too,” Amanda said quietly.
