Naturally - A Book of Poems

Autumn Leaves

A flash of red,
A swirl of brown,
Yellow and orange,
Fall to the ground.
Fly from the trees,
Quick as you please,
Fluttering slowly down.
So now the ground is carpeted,
Looking like a rug,
It looks oh-so-cozy,
For an insect or a bug.
The leaves crunch underneath my feet,
Like little twigs are breaking.
It soothes me to hear the sounds,
These pretty leaves are making.
A flash of red,
A swirl of brown,
I love when leaves
Fall to the ground.
