Fifteenth Annual Reading Rainbow Contest

The Chimney Sweep

He rushed to the telephone,
And dialed the number for an inexpensive
Chimney sweep,
That goes from door to door.

The voice on the other line,
Had a jolly sound.
Dad told him of our problem,
And he said he'd be right down.

In the wink of an eye.,
We heard the ring of our bell.
There stood the chimney sweep,
With rosy cheeks and sooty smell.

He wore a black coat,
That was two sizes too tight.
H e had a long gray beard,
That might have been white.
