I climbed onto the island and waddled inland for about a mile. All of a sudden, I heard something. I looked behind some bushes and saw an animal I’d never seen before. I quickly hid behind bushes hoping it didn’t see me but it started walking towards me.
“Hi,” it said, “What’s your name?”
I was so scared but I slowly stuttered, “P-P-Peety, and WHAT are you?!”
“A monkey, and my name is Mark,” he said.
“I am looking for my home in Antarctica,” I replied.
Mark said, “You are no where near there. You are on a tropical island.”
So I asked Mark if he could help me get back to Antarctica.
He said, “No, but I know someone who can, follow me.” |
