Suddenly, we heard thunder and we saw lightning. The tree above the lean-to fell over, it did not hit the lean-to but it hit the campfire. We packed up very quickly, put the baby owl back in his nest and ran down the mountain to the house. It was pouring rain! We tried to open the door. It wouldn't budge. We had to sleep on the porch.
