In September, we got a call from our neighbors. They found an adult praying mantis on their porch. We brought her home and discovered that she was pregnant! We put her in a tank and fed her flies. That weekend we showed her to our cousins.
Suddenly my cousin Kendra exclaimed, "She's making an egg case!"
Everyone watched as beige foam came out of her end. She shaped it into a ball with her back legs. It took two hours for her to finish!
