Fourth Annual Reading Rainbow Contest

Dolphin Bay School Saves the Day

When the class went behind the barn to get seaweed for the sea cows, they noticed a sunken ship in the distance. Wilma the Whale, Sally the Starfish, and Cathy the Crab all wanted to explore it. Freddy the Fish thought there might be a treasure inside.

The class swam over to the ship, and Mr. Clam followed nervously. When they got over to it they saw and old box covered with algae. When Snappy the Lobster finally opened it up, they found TREASURE! There were gold coins and jewels. Everyone was very excited. They pulled it through the window and brought it back to the Dolphin Express. Mrs. Salmon, Mr. Clam, and the class wondered what to do with their treasure. Jiggly the Jellyfish thought they should spend it on saving the ocean.

" That's a good idea!" said Mrs. Salmon.

Everyone agreed. Back at school, Mr. Octopus, the principal, started a group of sea animals called " The Cleanup Patrol" that would clean the ocean with special vacuum cleaners. They were paid with treasure. The school fish thought that saving the ocean was best for everyone. And that is right. Now the fish and sea animals live happily in their clean ocean.
