So the oyster went to the Sea God. The journey was so, so long, and she was so, so sad. When the Oyster told the Sea God her story, the Sea God took a small round, white stone from his crown and said, " Oyster, this stone is for you. What is your name little oyster?"
"My name is Pearl," said the Oyster.
The Sea God said, "We shall call this stone pearl in your honor!"
The oyster was so shocked she didn't know what to say, so the Sea God continued, "In the future, only the smartest, strongest, and the bravest oysters will have a pearl in their shell!"
The oyster was so, so happy! And that is how the oyster got its pearl.
