They walked to their seats. Mrs. Lombard gave them each a paper with math all over it. Sam had done all but one math problem.
"Psst! Beckie, what is 9+9 -8+1?" asked Sam.
"11," said Beckie.
"Oh, thanks," said Sam. He scribbled down the answer.
