Two weeks later, Jimmy's friends decided to go back and look for Jimmy. So they went back and one person went up. About one minute later the person came back and found nothing.
After another two weeks they came back. Another person went up to the cupboard and never came down again except for the cups that came down after him. The rest of the kids cried with fear and never went back again.
So we never will know what happened to Jimmy and his friend.
