Carrie made a mad dash for it. "Hello?" Carrie asked.
"Ohmygosh, Carrie. I have awesome news. Come right over," and excited voice said.
"Mom, can I go to Lia's?"
"Sure, dear."
Carrie sprinted across the street. Out of breath, she rung the doorbell. A furry black figure greeted her. Lia followed. She waved Carrie in. " Come on, " she exclaimed. Carrie just gaped at the ball of fur, which had become a Scottish terrier.
