Ninth Annual Reading Rainbow Contest

Across the Sea and Back

You put gloves on your hands and set the table. I quietly ran out the door, hopped on Midnight's back and rode out of the neighborhood. (Midnight was what I had decided to name the stallion.) I must not have been paying attention to where we were going, because before I knew it we were at the beach. Midnight ran along the sand, jumped in the water and swam so far out that I couldn't see land anymore. He just kept on swimming!
