Salamandridae - Newts, True Salamanders

here are around 70 species of small, colorful salamanders and newts in this family. Their bright coloring is a visual warning to other animals, because all the species in this family produce a toxin through their skin. All of the species in this family are found in the Northern Hemisphere.
