Procellariiformes - albatrosses, fulmars, storm petrels, shearwaters

Black-footed AlbatrossThere are 100 species of seabirds in this order. The birds in this order spend most of their time at sea and only come in to land to breed. Most species are very clumsy on land. They birds in this order are sometimes called tubenoses because of the pair of tubular nostrils on their hooked bills. They have long, narrow wings and webbed feet. They lay only one egg and both parents care for and feed the chick.
