Six Year Old Marriage: A True Story

Ruth cried and cried.  Mrs. Connors said, “You can’t be crying because you are going to get married, and you can’t have red eyes.”  They drove from the center of town to the town hall.  When they got into the parking lot, the place was packed.  “I’m not getting out of the car.” Ruth said.  “Yes, you are” said Mrs. Connors.  They argued back and forth.  Mrs. Connors eventually won the argument.
