On their way home, they made two decisions; to enter him in the New York City Dog Show, and to name him Hopen. Hopen is a mix of these words - hope and end.
They saw hope in this dog's
eyes; hope that he could end their worrying for Mason's mother - he could make a difference. She has been sick for awhile now.
Mason's family isn't very rich and can't afford great doctors, so the $50,000 prize could help her get better.
They laughed and spluttered as they attempted to clean up the little dirtball puppy. Thinking about all the training that lay ahead made them smile at the adventure it would be. |
