Guernsey Cows
My great grandfather raised Guernsey cows. These cows were orangey brown with white markings. It was a good cow for milk because the milk was high in butterfat and protein.
Milk Cans
Milk cans had lids and could hold up to 10 gallons of milk. They were kept cold by putting them in a great big tub of cold water called a cooler.
