The Quest for My Mother

The beauty didn’t last long.  Suddenly, I was caught in a net with lots of fish and I couldn’t get out.  It put me in a dark, damp place and I fainted.  When I woke, all around me was whiteness, white ice and blue water.  This was not home.  It smelled like bare-skins and rotten fish.  The days I spent there went by in a blur.  One day, a new penguin arrived.  It was Mom!!!  We laughed and hugged but our happiness was short lived.  Two bare-skins started walking toward us.  They said, “…experiment…feed…shark tank…”
